KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure the bar is running smoothly at all times by overseeing its day-to-day operations
Maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for customers
Ensure staff is following local requirements and proper alcohol distribution regulations
Schedule staff
Order stock and monthly inventory to ensure that shortage of supply is never met
Recruit, interview, hire, schedule and train bar staff including bartenders/ barbacks
Interact with guests to develop loyalty and exercise great customer relations
Ensure bars are profitable by analyzing liquor costs versus sales
Work with liquor vendors to develop new productions or promotions for the bar
Set and maintain standards for safe food handling, cleanliness and safety
Negotiate with vendors, order supplies, manage inventories
Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting
Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines
Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served
REQUIREMENTS
Must be at least 21 years of age
Minimum of a year experience in a high-volume restaurant/ bar
Previous experience using a computerized POS system
Ability to remain standing for the entire length of shift
Ability to lift stock up to 25-50 pounds occasionally
Knowledge of extensive food and beverage options
Enthusiasm in alcohol and non-alcohol drinks mixing
Attention to detail
Able to thrive in a fast paced environment
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Knowledge of local and state regulations related to alcohol service and health code compliance
Knowledge of basic accounting principles, personnel management and marketing
